A secret long 30 years and a hidden world..

it’s 1944 when the farmer Jack McGann, following his dog who is chasing a rabbit, discovered the for the first time the cave. He decided to maintain this place secret until 1973, when a group of cavers started to explore the tunnels and this incredible underworld. Weird geological formations, stalactites, stalagmites, the underground river and a waterfall, creating a unique place where light and dark, sounds and silence merge together.

During the 30 minutes tour, you can experience different sensations, see the real darkness, be gently refreshed by the waterfall and feel as a real cavers explorer. Through the tour you can also learn about Ireland prehistoric age and see the rests of a real brown bears, that become the symbols of the cavern.

Additionally the center holds the famous Birds of Prey where the aim is to protect and aid the conservation of birds through education, fundraising activities and visitors awareness. Located at the foot of the cave, the centre offers different experiences of interaction with these incredible predators, and the lifetime opportunity! The walk hawk.
