Hotels near the Cliffs of Moher

Situated along Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, the Old Ground Hotel in Ennis is ideally located for those hoping to explore some of the West's most iconic seascapes and coastlines.

The Cliffs of Moher stand majestically over the Atlantic Ocean, looking out to the Aran Islands and the hills of Connemara across Galway Bay. The cliffs, which are over 350 million years old, remain Ireland's most visited tourist attraction and after experiencing them in person, you will understand why. On a clear day, the beauty of such a rugged, exposed and quintessentially Irish landscape is incomparable and one which won't be forgotten easily.

The Bridges of Ross sea-arches and stacks and the gentler cliffs towards Loop Head in West Clare are also well worth a visit. The seascapes were once a trio of spectacular sea arches before at least two of them fell into the sea. The name persists in the plural, despite only one sea arch left standing today.
