The Burren Experience

The limestone region of the Burren along the Wild Atlantic Way is a UNESCO World Heritage site and it is world-renowned for its stunning and unique beauty. The area features stone walls criss-cross bare and rugged stretches of limestone rock. Ballyvaughan village lies at the heart of the Burren and it enjoys a spectacular view over Galway Bay.

Visit the ancient dolmen of Poulnabrone and other ancient monuments dotted throughout this special landscape. Tours of the Aillwee Caves, an extensive cave system, are loved by old and young alike.
